The Logical Auditor is a web application, so it can technically run on almost any modern tablet with a browser. In practice, we recommend one specific device, because hardware choice genuinely affects how well the system works on a factory floor — particularly for workers using the check-in, walkaround, and log entry screens while wearing work gloves.
Not every touchscreen registers a gloved finger reliably, and consumer-grade tablets are rarely built to survive drops, dust, or grime. A device that's uncomfortable or unreliable to use gets used badly, which undermines the accuracy of the data the system is meant to capture. We'd rather point you to one tablet we've actually tested for this than leave it to chance.

If you'd prefer to use a different tablet, that's fine — but we can't guarantee the same experience, particularly around glove sensitivity and durability, and setup issues arising from a non-recommended device may fall outside what our setup service covers.
